Creedle, Jones, and Alga, Professional Corporation is a medium-sized certified public accounting firm with a concentration of business in Southside Virginia; however, we serve clientele throughout the State of Virginia as well as neighboring states. We offer a broad range of services in the areas of auditing, accounting, taxes, management consulting, data processing, and financial planning. The firm is a member of the AICPA’s Division for CPA firms SEC PRACTICE SECTION and Private Companies Practice Section.

The firm of Creedle, Jones, and Alga, P. C. has roots dating back to 1972 with the establishment of a sole practitioner firm by Mr. Sherwood H. Creedle. Over the next few years new partners entered the firm, Mrs. Robin B. Jones (1986), and Mr. David V. Alga (1993).  The firm has evolved into a professional corporation with greatly expanded services and diversified clientele. Over the years, the firm has broadened its presence within the Southside Virginia region. 

In 1989, Creedle, Jones, and Alga, P. C. acquired a sole practitioner firm which created an office of Creedle, Jones, and Alga, P. C. in Lawrenceville, Virginia. Then in August of 2000, the firm purchased an existing office in Emporia, Virginia from another public accounting firm. The firm felt it could meet the challenges of the accounting profession more aggressively by merging and acquiring new practices, thus allowing greater specialization by partners and staff. Creedle, Jones, and Alga, P. C. is now more committed than ever to our clients.

The firm maintains offices in South Hill, Lawrenceville, and Emporia. Its professional, para-professional, and clerical staffs total 20 people. Our professional staff includes eight Certified Public Accountants.

Above all else, our firm promotes a professional attitude towards its work by every member of our staff including administrative personnel. We feel a professional attitude is essential to develop and maintain a professional accounting practice.

Quality is the most important aspect of our practice. It is constantly considered in providing service to our clients and in planning the firm’s future.

As a result of this client diversification, we are able to offer expertise in accounting, financial reporting, and tax problems for a wide range of industry and business.

Our clients range from small operations to companies with annual sales exceeding several million dollars. Most of our larger clients have been with us a long period of time. We have assisted them in many phases of their business operations.
