Mr. Alga, a
CPA and a CVA, is a shareholder and executive officer in
the firm. He is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and
State University with a B. S. in Finance and insurance. He also
holds a Masters Degree in Accountancy from Virginia Commonwealth
University.
He
has worked in the banking industry for 14 years including two
years as a bank examiner for the Bureau of Financial
Institutions before his employment with the firm in January of
1990. His primary responsibilities with the firm relate to audit
engagements. He heads the SEC client division for the firm.
Mr. Alga is a member of the American institute of Certified
Public Accountants and Virginia Society of CPAs. He has taught economics and banking
classes in the Community College system, has authored an
accounting article published in a major banking periodical, and
belongs to several social and charitable organizations of which
he has served as a member of the board of directors. Mr. Alga is
a native of the Northern Neck in the Tidewater area of Virginia.
